V&A Dundee, Opened on 15th September 2018, is an international centre for design for Scotland - the first ever design museum to be built in the UK outside London.
The V&A Dundee is housed in a world-class building at the heart of Dundee's Waterfront. It hosts major exhibitions, celebrates Scotland's design heritage, inspires and promotes contemporary talent, and seeks to encourage design innovation for the future.
In September 2014 BAM Construction was appointed as preferred bidder for the building designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Funding for the museum was achieved by both public and private donations including the Heritage Lottery Fund, Creative Scotland and a wide range of charitable trusts and companies. In addition to Scottish Government and lottery support.
The V&A Dundee seeks to make a unique contribution to Scotland's cultural landscape, inspire generations and showcase Scotland's rich legacy of design.
