During Summer 2019 signage is to be installed within the Central Waterfront and extending out into the Riverside and City Quay areas.
Two types of signage will be installed:
Wayfinding signs - will aid pedestrian visitors to the city in navigating around the area, with clear easy to read maps and directions to important locations within the Waterfront and the City Centre. This is an extension to the award winning signage which already exists in the City Centre and is being delivered thanks to government funding.
Interpretation signage - to be placed alongside the River Tay at Riverside Walk and a sign within City Quay, new information panels are to be added to inform both locals and visitors about the history of the area and the importance of the River Tay for wildlife. These signs are also being delivered thanks to Government funding, with special thanks for the sign content to Scottish Natural Heritage, the City of Dundee Archives, local historians James Page and Andrew Jeffries.
