Launch of COP26 and Dundee Cycle Hub

September 26, 2021

‘STORM’ – a 10m tall Sea Goddess composed entirely of recycled and natural materials, visited Dundee on Sunday 26th September, 2021 to celebrate the launch of our city’s COP26 timetable, and the Dundee Cycle Hub at Waterfront Place, Slessor Gardens where there were a range of stalls and activities to celebrate.

From a mobile bike track to Segway sessions and even a silent disco, families enjoyed a fabulous day out!
Whether enjoying lunch from one of the food vans, or their own picnic at one of the city’s best-loved green spaces.

Following on from the year of Coasts and Waters in 2020 STORM was launched as part of Celtic Connections and became an iconic image. She made a Tour of Scotland, and headed out on the road in 2021 with its message of community cohesion and environmental awareness on its way around the world.
