Dundee’s revamped Christmas offering was visited by over 267,500 people and generated £2.6m for the city’s economy.

Christmas in Dundee 2021 featured the WinterFest event in Slessor Gardens, as well as a winter wonderland in City Square and new Christmas lights in the streets.

Dundee’s WinterFest at Slessor Gardens transported over 150,000 festive goers to a magical Christmas experience designed for all the family as part of the city’s festive activities.

The unique attraction was unveiled in Dundee for the first time capturing the festive spirit for some cold weather fun with its vintage funfair and stunning Big Wheel for some of the best views around, a traditional Bavarian bar, full-scale ice-rink, along with the Christmas Market (over 20 Christmas stalls) filled with local vendors and treat loved ones to a last-minute gift or two, or where they could keep warm with a delicious mulled wine or hot chocolate.

Plans are afoot to ensure Dundee city centre will be the place for locals and visitors alike, with M&N Events (organisers of the WinterFest) already working on ways to deliver a bigger and better WinterFest in Dundee for 2022.
