Proposed Public Open Green Space - Plot 8

This plot will be 10,738 sqm.

The tender for Contract 4 was approved in December 2013 and works started on site February 2014 with a competition date of January 2016.

Contract 4 includes the completion of all remaining road, drainage infrastructure works, SUDS Pond and the Central Open Space

The Central Waterfront is the focal point of Dundee Waterfront, this space will provide a new street layout extending from the city centre down to the waterfront, a new green civic space and the V&A at Dundee, the only design museum in the UK outside of London (due to be complete 2016) positioned next to Captain Scott's ship RRS Discovery which was built in Dundee in 1901.

A new rail station will be built with an 120 bedroomed hotel above operated by Sleeperz and recently Malmaison opened their 13th boutique hotel in the city.

There will be a number of development plots created, some of which are available now and all owned by Dundee City Council providing new office, residential and leisure opportunities. Find out more about investing in the city.
